Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Gray dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

His name is actually Dark Wind, but he adds the "Lord" part himself. He enjoys throwing lightning bolts for fun, and loves to see those little creatures down there scatter in fear. As a result of this, most of his food is well fried... He is courageous and brave if he has to be, but mostly laid back and likes watching others work while he is relaxing.

Even though he is the oldest, he is far from the wisest, and is considered one of the chief troublemakers of the Cave. Since he has control of the weather, he finds it hilarious to make it rain when other dragons are outside, basking in the sunlight.

But the other dragons know very well that weather changes like that do not come naturally, so Dark Wind has to hide for a while after he has ruined a beautiful, warm day.

But he also thinks it's nice to help (sometimes), so for birthdays and such he makes sure the weather stays just like the Dragon of the Day wants it to be.
