Lochicktus of Borg did not start out half poultry half machine on a voyage through the depths of space. She was in fact a colonel in the Air Chick Force. On duty when a strange cargo was brought to the base from a small town out west, she was given strict orders no one was to approach the object and the Col. was to assign guards for the mysterious finding. Although she was a level headed career chicken in the Air Chick Force she defied orders, just this once her curiosity getting the best of her. Removing the tarp covering the unknown object she found an ordinary metal cube. She searched the outer surface for some sort of opening yet seemingly there was none to be found. Covering the cube with the discarded tarp she turned to leave when a humming became audible from beneath the tarp. Turning back to look at the object she saw an eerie glow emanating from beneath the tarp. A deep, almost mechanical voice resonated, "Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated."
