Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Liberi is a dragon who believes in right and the greater good.  He has inherited a very chivalrous nature from his mentor, Unagi-sama.  He likes to swim with the village children, occasionally giving them rides, or sometimes just splashing them with sweeps of water from his tail.  Lately, he has been sharing his thoughts, ideas, dreams and ambitions with his sister Nalli as she accompanies him on his patrols of their aquatic kingdom.
