Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It gives off a glow that lights up the cave.
Look, it's grown frills, and the glow around it has become even brighter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Khyn is a frozen hatchling, and is an outsider brought in.  He is cared for by Renid, mostly, though the little hatchling doesn't really need it.  He is an adventurous little dragon, and sometimes wanders off.  The thing that is interesting about him, though, is that he always speaks in rhymes, telepathically of course, no matter what the occasion.  Nasha is particularly fond of the little guy.
