Astrael are impressive wordsmiths, often traveling great distances so as to expand upon their vocabulary and perfect their cadence. Their passion for wordplay shines through in their communication tactics, with Astrael preferring to speak in eloquent rhymes; the most creative among them are fated to win poetry battles - and their future mates. During their travels, bardic Astrael are more than happy to share their poetic prowess with those who ask, providing opportunities for distanced friends and family members to spread joy through beautifully articulated letters. Astrael Dragons are also wonderful parents; they have even been observed taking in orphaned eggs and young. Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation.
