Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females, like most female dragons, eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

This dragon is a hunter born. As a hatchling she slept all day, and spent all night bathing in the light of the moon and stars; and glorious did she appear beneath a full moon, silver scales aglow like an echo of the moon on still water.

When her frills grew in she took to wandering further and further afield. She would bring back small creatures she had hunted and killed to share with the other hatchlings.

Goddess of the Hunt is impossible to find during the day, speaks little when she wakes to hunt in the night, and makes even less noise when she slips into the fading dusk and out into the falling darkness.

The sharp-eyed may occasionally espy her perched in glowing glory atop the jutting cliffs for a moment, before she disappears back into blackness, as if she never was. She is rumoured to have a mate as strange and wild as she, The Wild Hunt, about which even less is known.

She leaves the fruits of her hunting in the cave entrance for the other dragons.
