Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Maddened by the poison injected into her as an egg, she hatched with a venomous rage unrivaled in her clan. Her adolescence was an uncontrolled savagery, biting and killing her younger clan-mates needlessly, despite her predecessor's attempts to temper her wrath. Not long into adulthood she turned on him as well, tearing his body apart and the ancient lineage of his blood.

Enraged, the other dragons gathered and beat her fiercely, chasing her into a dismal cave at the edge of their territory, where to this day she ekes out a pitiful and solitary existence, fueled only by her ravenous hunger for life.

Fearing the power wrought from her unbridled hunger, unwanted eggs are on occasion tossed to her instead of being discarded, and these usually quench her appetite for a short time. Often she will turn an egg, prideful enough to think herself a matriarch, until jealousy and hunger consume her once again and drive her to kill her own offspring, should they be unable to flee her presence.
