Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Daxargen is the son of Daxius and Skyanirae. He found the mountainous home that his parents so happily reside in rather uninteresting. Few things inhabited it, save for a few mountain sheep and eagles. At a young age, he left their lair and descended into a smoky valley to seek adventure. There he found many new creatures and differently colored dragons. Unlike his father, Daxargen is friendly and enjoys the company of others. He is somewhat vain though and enjoys showing off.
