Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

White dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can't bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

His name is Dansei Kanbyounin. It supposedly means male nurse. He has a little problem though. He is totally unsure of himself and his abilities. It all started when he was tending a wounded hatchling that was dying of mortal wounds. He tried everything to save it, all to no avail. Why couldn't he save it. It was simply the limitation that white dragons can't revive the dead, and that hatchling was as good as dead, ripped open by a marauder, its heart damaged irreparably. It was no wonder he couldn't heal it, it was already dead; it just hadn't realized it yet, and neither had he. Now he constantly doubts his own healing powers and shies away from any dragons that are severely injured, fearing he'll fail to heal them; but he will try and heal minor injuries of the other dragons. Just not the life threatening ones. That is his little problem. He constantly fears he'll fail.
