Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dandre Chase, or the "Lady Chaser" as he is known by the female dragons of the clan, is one silver dragon that uses his silver good looks and glow to his advantage when dealing the females.  He rapidly grows bored with each female that he is with and rarely mates with the same one twice.  He attempts to swoon each new adult female, many times on the very same day she matures.  And until he is firmly turned down by the ladies, he will continue to chase the ladies.
