Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It's very light and enjoys bouncing all around.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Daikonyakusha is commonly referred to as "Kusha" by her peers, rather than the more lengthy moniker given at birth by mentor Furyuu. The name means "ham actor," and refers to how this hatchling prefers to be at the center of all the activity, soaking up attention. Kusha will do anything for a laugh, anything to get others to like her. As such, she is very popular among the other hatchlings, although some of the more thoughtful types find her to be rather false. It is always wondered what the true Kusha is like when not entertaining others.
