Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.
And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Bolamtina enjoys pranking the older dragons with his best friend, Xaniera.  He also is cared for by Iianasatoka, who is sympathetic with the young hatchlings. At night, he and Xaniera curl up beside her, and she treats them as if they are her own.
