This is a baby chick, not a dragon. So what was it doing in the dragons' cave?

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Bob is the smallest creature in kiten234's clan, which makes her constantly terrified she will be stepped on, or worse, eaten! Her keeper does her best to keep her out of harm's way, even to the point of having one of the clan's Magi Dragons perform a protection spell on this helpless young chick! So far, this is working pretty well and has put Bob's mind at ease... For now...
