Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing. It's learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Berstuk is evil-natured and an absolute terror to the hatchlings and even to some of the smaller dragons. His size doesn't seem to be the cause and it is thought that he'd be just as foul tempered if he was average sized. He seems to have no guilt whatsoever about his various misdeeds. His favorite victims are Asase Ye and her mentor, Cochimetl. On the other hand, he leaves Santonilya well-enough alone out of fear for her father, Crichton, who seems to be the only one who can keep him in line.

Berstuck is named for the evil forest god of Wendish mythology.
