Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Hatchlings spend a relatively long period of time as hatchlings, from 100 to 200 years, before they mature. Adolescence is usually marked by a hatchling's wings growing in, but not all breeds of dragons grow wings. Baby dragons all look very similar, but once they hit adolescence, they change very fast, they mature to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Black dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Germany, 1944, amongst the war, there was mystery too. Soldiers of both sides say they saw something throughout Hitler's reign, a black dragon, and when it flew by, the tempers of everyone who saw it increased. The dragon was named Azadah. After Hitler's death, sightings lessened, and almost disappeared all together. Last time it was seen, Azadah was flying over Iraq, a gray dragon almost hidden in storm clouds beside him.
