Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Hatchlings spend a relatively long period of time as hatchlings, from 100 to 200 years, before they mature. Adolescence is usually marked by a hatchling's wings growing in, but not all breeds of dragons grow wings. Baby dragons all look very similar, but once they hit adolescence, they change very fast, they mature to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

When water dragons mature, they lose their legs and the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They usually stay in the same lake for their entire life, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Aquareanos is a normal water dragon in most ways. The one difference is her name is one that seems to be more for males. She prefers to live in salt water rather than the normal clear water, and she loves to go up to people on the shore lines and scare them. To bad she was separated from her twin brother at birth. Maybe they will meet up one day.
