Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling's wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don't communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Akiru is an anti-social, quiet dragon. He secludes himself from the others, and watches them from afar, observing them.

Akiru has been through a torturous life. His mother wanted children, and she made sure she got what she wanted. She gave birth to triplets. Soon, she got bored of them, couldn't find any use for them. And of course, the father was rather annoying, pestering her with his affections.

Before Akiru and his sisters' eyes, their father was murdered, a painful and long death.

Without his father around, his mother began to notice her children more, and found that they can be amusing creatures.

After years of torture and abuse, Akiru watched as his sisters were burned alive.

He somehow managed to escape, and ran off as far away as he could possibly get from his old home.

His eyes still bear the pain from his suffering. Despite his calm demeanor, he occasionally has violent fits if provoked.
