Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Except for the occasional flicker of movement, it remains inanimate.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lacking Gravitas—or she prefers to go by "Vita"—is a wistful, dreamy dragon. Her personality is seemingly at odds with her exterior, but as her name suggests she isn't as heavy as most stone dragons. Vita will disappear from her nest occasionally, and although no one has seen her, Kad's clan has suspicions she's trying to use those wings.

Vita lacks social skills, and generally hunts for gems in remote quarries—anything to be away from other dragons. When she IS around she tends to hunker down by a fire and stare off into space anyways. Understandably this doesn't make her well-loved.
