Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very light and enjoys bouncing all around.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

When Ohupalli Armastus was brought to the clan as an egg, he didn't have much chance of survival. But with gentle care from a Magi hatchling named Valerexia- the nursery keeper at the time- he hatched and grew into a healthy young dragon, despite missing an eye. As he grew, he and Valerexia got along very well together, and soon they became inseparable. He knew that he would eventually have to mature and leave her behind, and this troubled him greatly, until great relief came with being told that he would have to be frozen due to his missing eye.

He now lives in the frozen hatchling's den with the retired Valerexia, whom he has come to love very much.
