When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Tilta hatched, her parents immediately tried to find the perfect name. Tilta's father carved out names in the sand so Tilta's deaf mother could pick out the one she liked the most. While the mother was taking forever choosing the name, the father got bored and started to doodle in the sand. Before he knew it, the mom splashed around, she had found the perfect name! And right where the new dad had been doodling, the name 'Tilta' had been inscribed. Tilta's father was crushed. He had put his favorite name there, 'Full Tilt', in hopes that it would catch his mate's eye, but his doodling had messed it up. Not willing to ruin his mate's happiness, the young father kept silent. Tilta herself was fine with the name, but for many years her father secretly felt miffed because of it. He wanted her have a cool name, darn it! After Tilta grew up and her dad matured a bit, it doesn't seem like a big problem anymore and both father and daughter look back on it with a smile.
