Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pink Lady is named after her great-great grandmother, Penk. She may not have inherited her glittering pink scales, but if there is one thing that her great-great grandmother has taught her it is that knowledge is far more important than beauty. Since that day she has continued to teach her children all she has learned and is proud to watch them blossom and grow into intelligent, kindhearted dragons.

Pink Lady has no mate and instead spends most of her time with her firstborn daughter, Primrose. There are days when she mourns her old mate and prays to the great goddess Nttu that he will return soon, but deep down she knows the truth. He was upset when their eggs continued to turn out Tinsels instead of Blusang Lindwurms, and left to find a mate of his own breed only a few days before Primrose hatched. Pink Lady doesn't know if he ever succeeded in finding such a mate, but she hopes only the best for him. Perhaps she will find another mate too someday.
