Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very dark in color, but its eyes glow brightly.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mrana Mrana is named after the noise he so insistently produces. At first the dragons around him thought it kind of cute, then annoying. But when he recruited Ferret to accompany him with a "ba-dee-bee-di-bi" it suddenly all changed. As if under some kind of spell the adults of the clan couldn't resist to hum along and tapping their paws and head with the rhythm absolutely delighted to see this enthusiastic, happy hatchling in their midst.
