Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fabled as the Apostle of Frost, one of the near-mythical protectors of old and a member of the rare legendary species of Ice dragons, Coldsnap is a very powerful dragon indeed, and he knows it. He is part of a trio of legendary power, told to have alarming power in times of need and a special ability that can only be used when all three of the 'Apostles' use their powers together.

Coldsnap is true to his name in appearing somewhat cold and unapproachable, preferring to spend his days in icy caverns in solitude, but although certainly aloof he is also intelligent and can be the source of a well of knowledge, should any brave enough to face his bitter cold approach him with questions.
