Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, larger in males, aiding both in digging up food and protection when fighting for mates. Males are duller in color than females due to their habit of wandering from nest to nest and picking from less algae-rich feeding grounds.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While most flamingo dragons are content with a diet consisting of shrimp and other aquatic life, I Eat Souls wanted more. After an incident that left a cheese dragon crippled for life, he left the cave in search of the perfect meal. Upon returning, he claimed to have found a method of extracting and eating the souls of other living things. Only the youngest dragons believe this story, the rest have realized the true nature of his diet: cheese dragons. Old habits die hard.
