Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Attention just seems to be given to Narvimi with little effort on her part. At first she enjoyed the attention, but the Shimmer wanted to know why she was getting so much. It was due to being different, but there were others that were also different yet never had the mass interest. The Record Division fondly remembers a little golden blur going through the archives, though the cleanup was not as fondly regarded. Disturbingly, the conclusion she came to was "Everyone wants to kill me." The next thought after this was "I will kill everyone before they do that." Narvimi has never told anyone of that particular thought. She no longer holds this belief due to contrary evidence.

Luring criminals to their deaths no matter what the species is a hobby of hers. "Maintenance" is the term Narvimi uses, which neatly skirts the fact she has a body count of 20 and growing. No one complains as long as they can step in if it gets too much for her to handle.
