Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ariaumbris doesn't understand those individuals who believe themselves too old to play games, too mature to practice make-believe, or too serious to laugh. She spends much of her time hidden away, drafting toys and games that will lighten the lives of those she gifts them to, only emerging around the holidays to spread cheer. Many people dislike her since she sometimes encourages "naughty" behaviour like running in the house, but so long as it isn't mean to anyone she sees no problem. Her philosophy is that if something makes everyone involved smile, there's nothing wrong with it. All she wishes is that more people would laugh without needing a special occurrence like christmas to lighten their moods.
