Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dykim has been by his brother Koshai's side since the two sparred as hatchlings. Their blood bonds run deep, deeper than the caves themselves. Many zombie and snow battles have brought the two into the field, and each time their coordination and skill has deemed them proud protectors of the scroll. Ever since the two had first gotten their wings, Dykim noticed Koshai's growing interest in the Garland dragon Shoa. Immediately, Dykim jumped on the opportunity to playfully tease his brother about his affection, and strongly supported their pairing when they were officially announced mates. Dykim is all too excited to be an uncle, and cannot wait to teach his coming nephew how to be a strong and capable warrior.
