Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Northern Lights was born during a night in which the sky was lit up by mysterious and colourful glows that gave him his name. Being the first Christmas dragon to reach the clan, alongside his adoptive brother, he brought happiness to those of his kind and most of all to their human keeper. Even though he was spoiled by all the older dragonesses he grew up to become a quiet and thoughtful dragon that enjoys gazing up at the stars and most of all to the northern lights when they appear in the night sky. Maybe it was that overdose of attention that made him like he is. The male has also a big paternalistic and also maybe eccentric side, which drove him to the point of adopting a little Christmas tree that he doesn't allow almost anyone to approach.
