Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Mathcat's Apprentice might not have her mentor's ability to levitate quill to parchment, but she does possess a very good memory, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to weave her observations into a coherent and interesting story.  A whiptail might seem like an unlikely choice for a magi storyteller's apprentice, but Mathcat Inktalon immediately recognized the young dragon's skill when she overheard her telling a bedtime story to some hatchlings.  Mathcat's Apprentice, in turn, was so flattered to be asked that she insisted on giving up her former name, and claims not to remember what she was originally called.  While Mathcat's Apprentice has a long way to go to equal Mathcat Inktalon's expertise, she does possess one advantage over her mentor.  Whiptails are, as a whole, far less noticeable than magi dragons, and Mathcat's Apprentice can usually observe without being remarked upon.
