Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its belly is bright red and it is most active in the evening.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Maryora and Byrto are two remnants of the Magehaven colony, found by Myrnekal on a vast, largely featureless plain, where night met day in a sharp dividing line.  Maryora, found sitting on the nighttime half, wanders where she pleases after dark, and has spawned numerous stories of ghosts among Dragonhaven Island's more nervous residents.  Like Byrto, she is silent—seemingly telepathically mute—and oddly fearful of other dragons when she isn't enjoying startling them.
