Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Although Use of Weapons always carries physical weaponry and experience in using them, the weapons she prefers are not claws and explosives. Her favorite tools are her knowledge (never mind Cade-the-storyteller; she's just a bartender!) and her charisma (never mind the past; she'll clean up, if one submits to her completely). Use excels in her understanding of strategy and psychology. Wherever possible, she will work through unknowing intermediaries to hide her own involvement or that of her friend Special Circumstances in precarious situations.

On the outside, she looks like an average magma—a huge, slow mass meandering across volcanoes. This both demonstrates and belies her internal state. While she has a patient temperament suited to centuries of waiting for the right political changes, she can be forceful and immediate once she responds. Some of the other clan dragons, watching her drift in limbo, claim that she must think both forwards and backwards to deal with the waiting.
