Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. It is very aggressive, and has brilliant turquoise markings all over its body.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Rhoban wants to be big and tough like Skelwrak and Aughyll, but he knows that his frozen state cripples him. As a result, he has a constantly burning pit of fury in his stomach which makes his temper short and his existence miserable. Unfortunately for some, he is quite big for a hatchling, and this has made him a bully: he compensates for his feelings of powerlessness by tormenting the smaller, weaker hatchlings. As a result, he has no friends, and many of the adults dislike him and do their absolute best to keep him away from the other hatchlings. Rhoban recognizes a potential ally in the ever-morose Faerion, but has not the courage to seek out the others' company, and so both remain lonely, hurting and aggressive.
