Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This lithe, athletically built red is named for a flower. Most red dragons would probably not be named after flowers, but for Somniferum, it fits. With her red and black hide and dangerously alluring femme fatale behavior, this dragon couldn't be more suited to her name. She prowls through the Breedery, trying out her wiles on every available male who hasn't outright refused her. She doesn't handle refusal well and has been known to try to change the minds of those who don't react 'properly' to her attentions. It doesn't work of course—persistence always worsens the situation, in fact—so she's become less pushy lately and more willing to move on to the next love interest if one fails to live up to her plans.

Due to this behavior she often lays eggs; however, she is a diffident mother with little interest in her offspring. As Somniferum knows they will be cared for by Blood Knowing or another of the female reds if she ignores them, she does just that.
