Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Leim watches the clans as they go about their daily routine, wings draped over her back gracefully, each yellow marking glittering golden in the early morning sun. The contrast of golden green stands out from her delicate features, small black eyes peaking curiously out at the surrounding world, while her paws daintily scuff marks in the dust below. Her tail slowly swishes behind her, counting the rhythm of the surrounding life as shadows reflect off the stripes and dance on the ceiling above. The harsh jawline conflicts with the soft tempered smile that stretches across her face, as she bathes in the surrounding noise and attention, tilting her head to show the glossy scales that she so painstakingly cleaned the night before. As the morning light rises, her golden stripes fade into the pale yellow of midday, the dancing shadows hasten to crowd her, dimming the beauty of her calm face. Leim slinks away, waiting for the next morning, where she will be beautiful again.
