Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Femina has a lot to be thankful for. She has a loving mate, several children, and a name to remind her of the love between her and her partner. But things were not always this way for her. For months she watched as her beloved wooed and courted Fervensa, the Magi dragon of the clan. The then nameless Femina could do nothing but watch and wait in tense suspense. Until one day, it seemed that Fervensa was softening to Cadidus' advances! Acting quickly, without even giving herself time to think, she ran over to Candidus and herded him away. At first it was awkward, but after a minute or two, the conversation started flowing. That day Candidus made this little nameless dragon an offer, and on the day of their coupling, he gave her a name: Femina de Candidus, to remind her of his love, and that she would always belong to him.
