It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Infa has always longed for a child of her own breed. She has never trusted the fact that her offspring always seemed to be a different breed than her and her husband, believing herself to be cursed to bear demon eggs. Infa has tried many options to rid her of this curse, from praying nightly to the stars to consulting the witch doctor on which herbs that could purge her body of this sin. While normally a sensible dragon, Infa has consulted with astrologers to find the best time of the month for her to lay her eggs, and has tried different nests, temperatures, everything she can think of. But the eggs still turn into that mutant hatchling that scares her so. She refuses to have anything to do with this alien offspring, chucking them out of her nest, without a second glance, although she keeps on trying to have the child she obsessively desires, a baby purple dragon. No matter how well Infa guards the egg, the strange hatchlings always seem to come out of them.
