Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Autumn's Angel is daughter to Startling Brilliance and Lady Autumn. She was growing up frolicking in big piles of leaves when Autumn's Angel wished out loud, "I wish I would never grow old." A mischievous Magi Dragon named Morganae Le Fey upon hearing Angel's wish cast a spell upon the little dragon, permanently making her never age again. Angel's mother, Lady Autumn, realized the mischief too late, and flew in just in time to chase Morganae away from her baby. Autumn's Angel is innocent, bright and cheerful, magically cursed to always be the same way she was when she made her wish.
