Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Scarred Spirits earned his name: from a young age he was exiled from the normal lives of other dragons and was despised all his life. He was called a freak because he came in contact with the spirits or Lacusta Lake—which was a "torture" site, and the ghosts there were as angry at the world as Spirit. They decided to stand together. The spirits directed him to Zuca's Cave, where he was accepted for who he was. (Though secretly, most dragons there think he's probably not completely sane whenever he talks about his invisible spirit—that was said to come from Lacusta Lake—Eyesauce.) Spirit now currently lives in Zuca's Cave with a bunch of other dragons and his mate, a pretty Storm named Esthtilk.
