When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lady of the Fishes and Birds is the primary aquatic hunter for the weyr.  She is, of course, an extremely adept fisher, but has been seen to heave her full length from the water to snatch an unwary bird, before splashing back into her element.  When not busy hunting, she likes to slither up near shore to build sinuous castles in the sand, then slap her great tail hard on the water to destroy them with a devastating wave.  She has deigned to mate once with a young storm dragon, and their single egg has been fostered elsewhere since she was not interested in raising it.  Most of the male dragons do not interest her very much, since they seem to be uncomfortable in water, no matter the depth.
