Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ridiculous Marquess l'Iom Frill enjoys high rank within the Frill Clan, but he secretly wishes for higher. As a youth, he fell in love with Cleopatra, little realizing that she was destined for the King. When they mated, l'Iom was crushed. He could not show it without giving offense to the King, so he forced a smile when given his own mate, the Marchioness. He would have been happy with her, for she is a great beauty and dotes upon him, but his heart has always belonged to Queen Cleo.

His daughter was given as mate to the heir, so l'Iom is able to visit the Royals often. When the King disappeared after the curse, l'Iom stepped up to comfort the grieving Queen. He knows that, both because of the curse and their station, he can never be with her. This has not stopped him from engaging in a courtly love. He believes Cleo loves him back, at least a little, though their union will forever remain chaste. He believes they share the purest of loves.
