Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Much like her playmate, Quicksilver Prince, Sylvari is under a spell to remain an eternal child. She is carefree and playful, often found rolling in the tall sweetgrass that grows wild high in the mountains or chasing butterflies around the Everflow River. Her curiosity often finds her wandering far from the safety of her Ashke'hai home and many times, Quicksilver must fetch her back within the rune-protected lands of the Keep.
