Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Brightest doesn't enjoy wandering outside of the cave, thinking that the outside is much too bright, contradicting it's name. He instead hunts the tiny maggots that crawl around on the walls, oozing green liquids. It isn't pretty, but to Brightest, anything is better than wandering into the light.
