Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gureno has an unfortunate disabillity. When he was a hatchling, he was attacked by wolves. He was almost killed, but then some fellow hatchlings came across the blood fest. The youngsters easily outnumbered the wolves, and fought them off. But, too late for poor Gureno. They permenatly damaged his right hind leg, tore off a peice of his tail, and tore most of his wings. Now he walks with a limp, can't fly as well, and his whiptail is practicly useless. However, fight him head-on, and the fangs and claws of Gureno will rip you to shreds. Now he prevents wolves from ever harming another hatchling again. That's why when you walk near his lands, you find scarred, and scared dogs. To show his poweress, he wears the pelt of the wolf who disabled him over his head, and part of his back.
