Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The Perfectly Normal Beast is perhaps the most eccentric dragon in the Marble Cup Cavern who has not actually Gone Mad. Despite being quite definitely a Guardian Dragon, he is convinced that he is the greatest and rarest type of dragon there is—a King Dragon. And no, nobody in his cave knows what that is either.

The Perfectly Normal Beast, often called E.P for no apparent reason, was given his name in order that those dragons who do not know him too well should not think anything is amiss when he appears out of thin air, charges in a straight line for a few hundred yards before suddenly vanishing again.

Despite being a bit odd, he does have a good heart, and is very tolerant of others. As he is always saying "You can do anything, but lay off of my Blue Suede Shoes!"
