Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When Darkness was found as an egg, she was found by the elders of her new tribe. Their hypothesis was she would become a great warrior. They said she would be great at hunting, battling, and she would do great in wars. So, that afternoon she was hatching out of her egg, as she got out she saw a bunch of strangers that she has never seen before so, she hid back inside the rest of her egg, but one of the dragon mothers pushed her out and told her it was alright, everyone here was nice, so Darkness was brave and she wasn't so shy anymore. The next morning, the elders were training Darkness how to be what they wanted her to be: a great warrior.
