Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Compared to many of the other dragons, Araleona is feeble, finding it difficult to run as fast or as far as even the weakest of the others.  What she lacks in strength, however, Araleona makes up for in intelligence.  She can often be found sitting off by herself, a far-off expression on her rather plain face as she mentally runs through a list of healing herbs that she obtained from a White dragon, or classifications of different types of storms that a Gray dragon told her in passing.  Because of her musings about life and its value, she finds in nigh impossible to kill any other sentient being, and therefore settles for eating only plants.  Because of this, paired with her lack of strength and sub-average beauty, Araleona is looked upon with disdain by many of the other dragons, but she doesn't seem to mind all that much.  In fact, she seems to prefer it this way, as it means that she is left alone and has more time to herself to learn about everything that goes on about her.
