Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Ochre Break loves running in the sand,

And though he's often found upon the beach

He's just as likely to go for a swim,

Dashing hither and yon among the waves.

Once his scales are dampened by the waves,

He sometimes will roll and coat himself in sand

But other times he'll set out from the beach,

To head among the Glaucous drakes and swim

It't not just any drake for whom he'll swim

But Hydrophone Nudibranch, on the waves,

With whom he plays until they head to the sand

To haul up side by side upon the beach.

The two drakes snuggle up upon the beach

There's only so much any drake can swim

Even those who live among the waves

It's why, they think the world has any sand.

The two will swim, relax, or play with sand

Together on the beach or in the waves.
