Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Horse dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Proklyatie's name is something of a triple-joke to Kevlus. It means 'Curse of Confusion', referencing the fact that a purple feminine dragon is male, looks like a horse, and has a long name in a different language.

Proklyatie is the hunter of the group, gathering food for the others while Gemstone and Embre are guarding and Meina is...doing her attraction thing. This suits everyone well, as none of the other dragons or Kevlus dispute that Proklyatie is the fastest or best flier...currently.
