Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon has a blood disorder that makes him cold all the time. He has an annoying habit of taking blankets from the other dragons in his cave, and piling them on top of himself. Most of the dragons in the cave feel sorry for him, and don't complain when it happens to them since they don't get too cold at night anyways. They do get annoyed, but understand that Khoat needs the warmth. Khoat does not sleep all night long, since his coats do not keep him warm for too long. He wakes every hour and returns the borrowed coats, and then takes someone else's coat to soak up the warmth. He has tried to sleep under other bigger dragons, but he almost got crushed. So, lesson learned: Stealing coats is safer than sleeping under other dragons.
