Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is rather pale in color and likes to sleep while balancing on one leg.

And look! It has grown wings and is much brighter! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Shelly has a terrible crush on Lemmer—the second in command at Ms Russo's Flamingo school. She think everything about the adult male is absolutely perfect, from the shiny black markings on his scale to his immaculate behaviour. She'd do anything to impress him and naturally follows the path Lemmer walked himself when he was her age, telling on fellow hatchlings and generally being a little prat.
